Strategic Working Group

It has been suggested that a small strategic working group should be created with a primary focus on rejecting the proposed zoning change. The development of the property would then fall within the guidelines set out in Bills 44 and 47 and the Oak Bay Community Plan.

In order to make an effective working group it has to be limited in size. It is important to include residents living within the 50 metre zone for membership in the group as 50 metres is the standard noted by Oak Bay as being directly impacted by any development.

Several residents at the south end and middle of Woodburn have stepped forward. We need representatives from the Lansdowne side of the property to indicate if they would be interested in meeting to form smaller working groups.

Once we meet we can move forward with plans and actions.
